Where Help Meets Hope
Live with dignity, stability, and hope in environments that feel like home

About ACRF
A Community Resources Foundation, Inc. was created from a deep commitment to providing safe, clean, and dignified housing for individuals who deserve stability, care, and a true sense of home.
Founded by Audrey Holmes, our organization provides permanent and temporary housing for seniors, adults with special needs, veterans, and individuals impacted by incarceration or reentry. Our homes are intentionally designed to be drug-free, peaceful, and beautiful—not institutional—so residents feel respected, supported, and comfortable in their daily lives.
We believe housing is more than shelter. It is the foundation for healing, independence, and growth. In our room and board residences, we offer supportive services that help residents thrive, including:
-
Assistance with medication management
-
Meal preparation for individuals with diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure
-
Transportation to grocery stores and essential appointments
-
Support with budgeting and financial organization
Our mission is deeply personal. After relocating her mother from Indiana to Sacramento, our founder witnessed the emotional impact that displacement, downsizing, and loss of familiarity can have on seniors. Creating a calm, nurturing environment where her mother could feel safe and valued became a turning point—one that inspired a lifelong dedication to helping others experience housing without fear, stress, or isolation.
Through our work in low-income and underserved communities, we also recognized a growing need for financial literacy and AI education. As technology continues to advance, many communities are being left without access or opportunity. To address this gap, we provide financial education and AI literacy workshops through our housing programs, churches, schools, and community partnerships—empowering individuals with knowledge that supports long-term stability and economic independence.
At A Community Resources Foundation, Inc., our purpose is simple but powerful - to help people live with dignity, stability, and hope in environments that feel like home.
Our Founder
My name is Audrey Holmes, and I am the founder of A Community Resources Foundation, Inc. My work is rooted in compassion, lived experience, and a deep belief that everyone deserves a safe, clean, and dignified place to call home. After relocating my mother from Indiana to Sacramento to care for her in her later years, I witnessed firsthand the emotional impact that transition, loss of familiarity, and downsizing can have on seniors. Creating a peaceful and nurturing environment where she could feel secure and valued became a defining moment in my life. Although I eventually lost her, caring for my mother shaped my purpose and inspired my commitment to serving seniors, adults with special needs, veterans, and individuals transitioning from prison to reform. Today, I dedicate my work to providing housing and supportive services that promote stability, independence, and hope—helping people rebuild their lives in environments where they feel respected, supported, and truly at home.
